Zdenka Četinić Bošnjak, prof. - head of the department

Zdenka Četinić Bošnjak was born in Zagreb in 1965, where she attended elementary and secondary music school. After studying violin at the Academy of Music in Zagreb, she graduated in the class of prof. Maje Dešpalj Begović, and got a job as a violin teacher at Zlatko Baloković's music school, where she still works today.

He bases his pedagogical work on a more modern approach to students, trying to change their passive, student attitude into a creative and active relationship between students and professors. It encourages the complete musical development of the student as an individual, but also as a member of a group, where the joy of playing music together in chamber ensembles plays an important role.

As the head of the string department of the music school, he has been trying to support the development of the department for years, which has resulted in an increase in the number of students enrolled in the string department, and the number of students who continue their education in the high school of music is also increasing every year.

Students from her class participate in county and state competitions where they achieve notable results, and today some of them are graduated academic musicians and pedagogues.
