Arijana Marić Gigliani, prof. counselor
Arijana Marić Gigliani was born in Sarajevo (1979), where she graduated from junior and high school in the violin and solo singing department.
After graduating from the Zagreb Academy of Music, he continued his training with the renowned pedagogue and opera champion Stojan Stojanov Gančev. He regularly holds recitals in Croatia and abroad through long-term collaboration with pianists Ivan Batoš, Ana Anconelli and Mario Čopor.
As a soloist, she performed with the Zagreb Soloists, Sarajevo Philharmonic Orchestra, HNK Osijek Orchestra, Dubrovnik Symphony Orchestra, HRT Symphony Orchestra, Chamber Orchestra 2007, etc. She recorded for the HRT archive.
She made her debut in the opera Ivana pl. Zajca Nikola Šubić-Zrinski in the role of Jelena at the National Theater in Sarajevo, and with the same role, she had guest appearances and excellent reviews in Bosnia and Herzegovina. In the theater Ivana pl. Zajca performed in Rijeka in G. Verdi's operas Macbeth in the role of Dame and in the role of Berta in G. Rossini's opera Il Barbiere di Seviglia.
At HNK Osijek, she performed in the operas of Ivan pl. Zajca Nikola Šubić-Zrinski (Jelena) and guest performances of the opera outside the home stage, V. Bellini Norma (Adalgisa), G. Verdi Nabucco (Abigaille) studio role, and concerts and guest appearances with the ensemble of the Croatian National Theater of Culture Osijek.
She collaborated as a soloist with conductors Vjekoslav Šutej, Nikša Barez, Julio Marić, Nada Matošević, Dario Vučić, Filip Pavišić, Mladen Tutavac, Ognjen Bomoštar, Tomislav Fačini and others.
In 2008, she won the first prize and the overall winner of the Lazar Jovanović international competition in Belgrade (Serbia).
In March 2010, she won another first prize at the Bruno Špiler International Solo Singer Competition in Herceg Novi (Montenegro).
She transferred her rich teaching experience to many young singers with whom she won a large number of national and international awards in solo singing and chamber music.
She is a professor of solo singing at the Zlatko Baloković School of Music in Zagreb.
