The piano department of the music school of Zlatko Baloković is exceptional in terms of the number of students and teachers. Piano is taught by 18 teachers at locations in Ivanićgradska Street, Travno and Zaprešić. 187 students attend the elementary music school, and 10 students attend the secondary school.

The best students of the piano department perform during the school year at public concerts at the Croatian Music Institute, the History Museum and the Croatian Society of Composers. Exceptionally gifted students participate every year in competitions for music students and achieve notable results.
