Marjan Krajna, born in 1966 in Zagreb, graduated in 1990 from the Gnjesin State Russian Music Academy in Moscow - accordion department, in the class of prof. Viacheslav. Semjonova and conducting in the class of prof. Vladimir Kozuharj.

He finished elementary music school at GŠ Rudolf Matz in the class of Josip Perić, prof.
High school education ends at the Elly Bašić Music College in the class of Vjere Odak Jembrih, prof. in Zagreb and with the famous prof. Radomir Tomić's harmonica in M.Š.» dr. Miloje Milojević" in Kragujevac.

He was a scholarship holder of the Ivo Pogorelić Fund of the Zagreb Concert Directorate.

He is the winner of numerous national and international awards. He trained and collaborated with the best world pedagogues and soloists such as V. Dolgopolov E. Moser, L. Puhnowsky, F. Lips, B. Jegorov, , V. Dmitrijev, P. Soave, V. Muntjan, V. Balyk, V Zubitsky, S. Magdić, T. Lukić...

He performed in Austria, Australia, Portugal, Germany, Italy, Slovenia, Switzerland, Romania, Russia, Belgium, France, Hungary as a soloist as well as with the HRT Symphony Orchestra, the Zagreb Philharmonic, the HRT Entertainment Orchestra, the HRT Tambourine Orchestra- a, by the HV Symphony Wind Orchestra under the direction of V. Dešpalj, N. Bareza, I. Gjadrova, M. Tarbuka. He performed in a duet with our leading violinist and pedagogue prof. Tonk Ninić...

Famous Croatian composers also dedicated a part of their oeuvre to M. Krajna, where compositions such as "Concert Suite for Harmonica" solo by M. Miletić performed at the Conservatory "A. Korto" in Paris, Liturgical suite "The last week of Jesus Christ on earth" by D. Bobić ....

In 1991, he started working as a conductor of the G.Š Harmonica Orchestra. Zlatko Baloković and achieved notable results and won numerous national and international awards. The very successful performance of the accordion orchestra G.Š stands out in particular. Zlatko Baloković under his leadership on May 29, 1997 in the UNESCO building in Paris.

In 1992, he worked at the "Ino Mirković" High School of Musical Arts in Lovran - the first higher education institution in the Republic of Croatia that opened the first department for accordion studies in the Republic of Croatia. He leads professional seminars organized by the Ministry of Science, Education and Sports in 1992 in Rijeka and Zagreb, 1994 and 1995 organized by HDHP in Primošten, 1996 organized by the Institute of Education in Zagreb, 1998 organized by HDGPP in Bizovac, 1999 and 2000. 2006 in Pučišća on the island of Brač, the Agency for Education and the County of Istria in Opatija in 2007.

He writes arrangements for chamber ensembles and orchestras. He is the author of several compositions performed by the HRT Symphony Orchestra with the choir under the conductorship of Igor Kuljerić. He is the author of "Collection of compositions for accordion orchestras" published by HDGPP. in 2005

As a conductor, he worked with the HV Symphony Orchestra, the Skud Academic Choir, Ivan Goran Kovačić, and the Goranovci Male Vocal Ensemble. He led the accordion orchestras of the Music Schools Zagreb, the Functional Music School as well as chamber ensembles within the Music Schools. In 1996, he founded the Croatian Academic Accordion Orchestra (H A H O ) of accordion music pedagogues.

He is a member of numerous juries for soloists, chamber ensembles and orchestras at county, national and international competitions. He is a member of the commission for creating accordion plans and programs as well as the pedagogical standard of music schools.
He is a mentor to numerous trainees on professional exams.

As a pedagogue, he excelled in working with numerous gifted students with whom he had special success and managed to bring their musicianship to a very high professional and pedagogical level and achieved significant success both in education and in numerous competitions.

In 1998, he was awarded by the Culture Office at the Ministry of Science, Education and Sports on behalf of Bjelovar Bilogora County for school and extracurricular activities.

In 2000, 2004, 2006, 2008 he was awarded by the Minister of Education and Sports for excellent results in working with students at state competitions. He won a special award at the "Australian International Accordion Championship & Festival" Sydney 2006.   The Institute for Education - Education Agency of the Republic of Croatia appointed him head of the accordion expert council.

Since 1997, the director has been G.Š. Zlatko Baloković in Zagreb.
