Ivana Levak Vaupotić, prof.
She graduated in classical accordion and musical culture at the Faculty of Philosophy in Pula (today's Academy of Music in Pula). She trained with eminent artists and pedagogues such as P. Soave, O. Murray, J. Šiškin and A. Skljarov. As a soloist, she performed with chamber and symphony orchestras such as Filarmonica de Stat Arad and Filarmonica Oltenia Craiova in Romania, Ashdod Symphony Orchestra in Israel, Filharmonia Pomorska in Poland, Kaliningrad Philharmonic in Russia, etc., performing works by Astor Piazzolla and contemporary composers for classical accordion.
In 2004, he founded the AccoDuo ensemble with which he performs intensively in Croatia and abroad, winning first prizes at the 14th International WCH Competition in the USA and the IBLA Grand Prize World Competition in Italy, and recording the CD Romance for the Austrian record company Classic Concert Records.
He collaborates with contemporary composers (Peter Machajdik, Yevgeni Derbenko, Eric Schwartz) whose works he produces. Employed at the Zlatko Baloković School of Music since 2017 as a professor and mentor.
