Helena Vidović, Prof.

Helena Vidović was born on December 9th, 1978 in Zagreb. She finished primary and secondary music education at Vatroslav Lisinski Music School, where she graduated in the class of professor Maja Žepić. On the eve of the entrance exam at the Academy of Music, she held a recital concert at the Historical Museum Hall in Zagreb.

That same year she was enrolled at piano department at the Music Academy in Zagreb in the class of professor Jakša Zlatar, and two years later at the Ljubljana Academy of Music (artistic department) in the class of professor Dubravka Tomšič Srebotnjak. During the studies she was actively involved in seminars of eminent pianists and pedagogues such as: Mirta Herrera and Hiroko Nakamur. She has regularly performed at the piano shows, held a recital at the Croatian Music Institute in Zagreb and for two years she was a beneficiary of the Zagreb City Scholarship.

She graduated at both Academies with great success (Zagreb 2000, Ljubljana 2001) and then within a year she graduated in the class of professor Rudolf Kehrer in Zurich and Vienna. In that period she made her first appearance on Croatian Radio.

At the end of 2002 she enrolled in the postgraduate study program entitled "Virtuoso piano works" at the Ljubljana Academy of Music in the class of professor Dubravka Tomšič Srebotnjak, which she successfully finished with the recital at the "Univerza in Ljubljana" Hall on April 25th, 2007.

In year 2008/2009 Helena Vidović held numerous concerts in Ljubljana, Zagreb, Varaždin, Šibenik, Sisak, Vinkovci and other Croatian cities. She performed at the Darko Lukić's concert series in the Small Hall of Vatroslav Lisinski. Her repertoire encompasses technically demanding works of different stylistic periods with an emphasis on romanticism and the 20th century.

She is employed as piano teacher at Zlatko Baloković Music College.
