The program is in the service of the development of children, meaning that everything is achieved through their experience – the story and the game. Children are not taught basics of music at this time, but instead they learn a lot of songs, nursery rhymes, they are becoming acquainted with the music instruments, throughout listening to the beautiful music and interesting musical stories. However, it is more important to develop voice, ear and motorial skills, abstract intelligence, sensitivity for music and for children with whom they are socialized, and, of course, to create the love for music itself. Through the established musical activities, children learn about the possibility of musical speech and are expressing themselves by making sounds – with their voice, loudly produced sounds (e. g. clapping) and the percussions. They also become acquainted with number of artistic and folk music pieces. Music culture itself includes musical education and influences on formation of the child's affirmative attitude, behavior and the need for artistic music.

The children nursery rhymes have deserved its place in a musical heritage whose attributes are the richness of diversity that encompasses coastal, island and continental regions. Each area often has different influences in musical creation. It has always been nurtured equally in all of our regions and is a true music pearl in folk creativity. For example, nursery rhymes conceal many complex rhythms, which will only be awakened in later education. The nursery rhymes have a very important educational weight. They help a child to choose a game, to play a role in the game and to perform a sequence in different game models. It can be introduced in a variety of games. The game is the most natural activity of the children and the most natural way of learning. It is the pleasure, need and the activity in which the child develops emotions and becomes aware of him or herself. A child in a nursery rhyme experiences oneself in space and time, not only in relation to the people and things, but in the space and time of the music itself. For that reason, nursery rhymes help in the development of musical abilities, primarily in the development of the sense of music rhythm, memory, intonation, or listening in general.

The essential errand of this program is to support and intensify children's interest in music through all of its segments (rhythm, singing, playing, listening, movement and dancing, creating) through activities. Numerous researches on the impact of music education on children's learning, support the theory that music education contributes to the development of intellectual and emotional skills and has a positive effect. Music is a natural part of the children's lives. Early introduction of music in children's lives is more than fun. It can encourage learning, serve as an important part of child routines and can offer many benefits.

Songs are much more fun than books because they are multimedia and children learn important facts and skills from songs. For example, song in which one counts, will help a child to master numbers, just like letters, alphabet, not to mention colors, animals, body parts, etc. It is important to understand that a child will not learn to read, but will develop memory and understanding for the sequence of words, rhythms and tones, and these are the skills that are closely related to later reading and mathematics.
