Ivana Levak Vaupotić, Prof

Graduated classical accordion and music culture at the Faculty of Philosophy in Pula (today's Academy of Music in Pula). She has improved her skills in collaboration with eminent artists and pedagogues such as P. Soave, O. Murray, J. Šiškin and A. Skljarov. As a soloist, she has performed with chamber and symphony orchestras such as the Philarmonica de Stat Arad and the Oltenia Craiova Philharmonic in Romania, the Ashdod Symphony Orchestra in Israel, the Philharmonic Naval Academy in Poland, the Kaliningrad Philharmonic in Russia and others, performing Astor Piazzolla's works and contemporary composers for the classical accordion.

In 2004, she founded AccoDuo, with whom she has performed intensively in Croatia and abroad, winning first prizes at the 14th International WCH Competition in the USA and IBLA Grand Prize World Competition in Italy, and recording CD Romance for the Austrian record label Classic Concert Records.

She collaborates with contemporary composers (Peter Machajdik, Yevgeni Derbenko, Eric Schwartz) whose works are top-notch. She is employed at the Zlatko Baloković Music College since 2017 as professor mentor.
