Tambura is a stringed folk instrument that has been introduced into the education program at Zlatko Baloković's music school since 1994.

Tambura is a traditional Croatian folk plucked stringed instrument and has always been and remains our most popular folk instrument with origins in folk music.

The beautiful, specific, warm and recognizable sound of the tambourine as well as its technical characteristics give us great interpretative possibilities. Therefore, the music school of Zlatko Baloković enables, with its individual approach, in accordance with the work plan and program, the thorough development of each individual on the tambourine from elementary music school to the end of secondary music school.

In the plan and program of work of the tambura department, one learns to play bisernica and brac accompanied by the piano. Teaching is individual.

During their education, students also learn all other instruments of the tambourine orchestra. In addition to individual lessons in accordance with the plan and program of work, students have collective music making in the form of chamber music and orchestra.
